For very fine tuning, however, Capture One Pro is better IMO (impressive color control). That beeing said, I would say that there is no chaleger for DXO as far as one wants to rely on automatisms to reach very quickly very good results. Indeed, DXO is perfect for "clinical" sensor/lens sharpening but given the output medium, it is important to apply a dedicated sharpening (with larger radius for printing, typically). IMO, DXO now only lacks a sharpening module in the export dialog (in a C1P way). For people who don't need a DAM but need to cull fast within event-based folders, FastRawViewer is just completely impressive (and it will support keywording in the next major version) while DownloaderPro offers advanced injesting facilities. I tried a lot (all ?) of them and at the end, I think that on Windows, iMatch is (by some marging) the best. There are nice third parties interoperating smoothly with DXO. Wrt LR it is but COP's DAM is so poor anyway that it is unuseable. So DXO produces quickly impressive results but lacks a DAM but after all, it is not so much of a drawback. So it opens up the possibility to define much more reliable default settings, and save a lot of time while nevertheless getting a very decent output. As far as I tried, it appears that lens sharpening works in conjuntion with Prime NR (and not just "after") in such a way that sharpening doens't apply to left noise. The very uncomon contrasts with C1P or others, where you have to balance very carefully the remaining noise and sharpening, because the latter may increase the visibility of the former. So, there is still a little bit grain left with higher ISO and at base ISO, everything is just perfectly clean yet fully detailed and natural.

Actually, I setup a default preset at 10% and don't touch it.

I dislike "plastic" NR so in DXO, I never apply more than a 10% Prime NR. Plus I don't use high end cameras and the lens things are really impressive as well, especially sharpening.

Prime NR is indeed really very impressive. With the introduction of local adjustments I tried again and after one month, I uninstalled C1P yesterday. I used to try DXO years ago but the lack of a DAM and local adjustments made me use Capture One Pro instead.
